Edwards WG4RTS notification appliances are designed for outdoor use and are appropriate for both indoor and outdoor installations on walls or ceilings. For surface mounting in outdoor or damp environments, these appliances should be affixed to a 449 electrical box. In dry settings, they can be used with standard electrical boxes measuring 4 inches square and 1 1/2 inches deep. If utilizing the optional WG4WTS or WG4RTS trim skirt, a 449 box or a 4-inch square box that is 2-1/8 inches deep is required. The Genesis WG4 horn and horn-strobe can be mounted on either walls or ceilings and can be positioned in one of four orientations: strobe on top, strobe on the bottom, or strobe on either side. The compact design of Genesis devices allows for additional wiring space behind the appliance.
