The Protectowire Linear Heat Detector is a specialized cable designed to sense heat at any point along its length. This sensor cable consists of two steel conductors, each individually insulated with a heat-sensitive polymer. These insulated conductors are twisted together to create a spring-like pressure between them, then encased in a protective tape and completed with an outer jacket that is appropriate for the installation environment of the detector.
