An air velocity as low as 100 ft/min within the duct ensures sufficient airflow into the sensor's smoke chamber via the air holes in the sampling tube, while also allowing for discharge through the exhaust tube. The SuperDuct air sampling tubes must be positioned with the inlet holes directed towards the airstream. These sampling tubes can be adjusted in 45-degree increments, enabling the alignment of air holes for installation at nearly any angle in relation to the airflow. SuperDuct sensors are designed to function effectively even in the challenging environmental conditions often encountered in HVAC duct systems. However, prior to installing the detector, it is essential to measure the duct's air velocity, temperature, and humidity to confirm that they fall within the operational parameters of the SuperDuct detector.
