The SIGA-SDH(R) Duct Smoke Detector Housing is meticulously designed to harness the full potential of Signature Series intelligent photoelectric and multisensor smoke detectors. EDWARDS Signature Series detectors collect analog data from their multiple sensing elements and transform it into digital signals. The integrated microprocessor within the detector evaluates and analyzes these signals, comparing them against historical data, temporal patterns, and established characteristics to determine whether to trigger an alarm. Advanced digital filters and sophisticated algorithms are employed to ensure maximum accuracy, effectively minimizing false alarms. Each duct housing comes with comprehensive installation guidelines, gaskets, and a self-adhesive drilling template for precise detector placement and mounting. The generously sized access door is fully removable, facilitating swift installation of the detector and connections for field wiring. Constructed from 16-gauge steel and coated in red baked enamel, the housing is easily identifiable. Additionally, five knockouts on the housing offer convenient options for mounting intelligent Signature Series modules.
