The innovative NOTIFIER Self-Test Series intelligent plug-in smoke detectors are engineered for optimal performance, user convenience, and modern appearance. When paired with the NOTIFIER INSPIRE Series N16 panel and activated via a mobile app, these Self-Test Series detectors automatically conduct maintenance checks for both smoke and heat detection—eliminating the need for canned smoke or heat guns. The Self-Test procedure fulfills the three essential NFPA criteria for detector upkeep: a functional test, a smoke entry test, and confirmation that a visual inspection has occurred. This is the first detector of its kind to receive UL approval.
Additionally, the Self-Test Series maintains the advanced features of the standard 951 series, such as an improved optical sensing chamber designed to detect smoke from a broad spectrum of combustion sources, meeting stricter code requirements. For added convenience, sensitivity levels can be configured through the control panel software, and the detector continuously monitors and reports its sensitivity to the panel, enabling targeted maintenance when chamber contamination exceeds acceptable limits.
The FSP-951T-SELFT model incorporates dual electronic thermistors, providing fixed temperature thermal detection at 135°F (57°C). The FST-951-SELFT intelligent temperature sensor can be set via the Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) to operate as a 135°F fixed temperature sensor, a combination rate-of-rise and 135°F fixed temperature sensor, or a 190°F high-temperature sensor. Each detector features Point ID capability, allowing precise address assignment using rotary decimal switches for accurate location identification. The NOTIFIER Self-Test Series detectors are compatible with FlashScan applications.
